All things came into being by Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

All that visit here are encouraged to join a Full Gospel Church, if they are not already affiliated with one. It is not enough to simply talk about Jesus we must be fed with the message that Jesus Preached.
This site was created to the Glory of God and to provide a place where the Christian can find comfort and inspiration while living in a corrupt and perverse world. The devotional materials are selected to nurture the soul, for that is where Jesus dwells and that is where the foundations of our values are restored and strengthened. By nurturing the complexities of the human soul we can equip ourselves to deal with the complexities of life. The old Programmers maxim "Garbage In - Garbage Out", finds no more truth than in today's human environment; our entertainment, media, families and over all relationships with those around us are filled with self serving decadence and perversion from all sides, even in the church we find people living like there is no God and there is no tomorrow. With all this, it is no wonder that the Christian is becoming jaded and disillusioned, families are going their separate ways and much of the church is more attuned to entertaining their members, than they are to worshiping God and promoting Christian values. It is our personal hope and continued prayer, that each visitor to this site will be able to refresh their soul to the Glory of God and for the enhancement and advancement of His Church on earth. Welcome to Christ is the Light Ministries!
My name is Jim Haynes and I am the presiding minister of this organization. We are an independent ministry dedicated to providing devotional material for those seeking to develop a closer relationship with the God who created this universe and all that is in it, as defined within the pages of the Holly Writ.
We are a nondenominational organization and are not affiliated with any specific Christian Church or denominational discipline although our views expressed do represent those foundations developed from a mostly protestant background. For years I struggled to find time each day to devote to Gods word often waiting until I was exhausted and dull in mind and spirit. I decided therefore that this kind of an oasis would be a useful thing for others struggling to exist in the light while living in the darkness of this world. Our goal then is to provide daily mediations and devotional material for the individual through out the business week when our resolve is often tested the most. This devotional material is also provided via email each business day without obligation, simply contact me and request your name be added to our mailing list using the links below.
